Down-on-his-luck rural divine doctor Chen Afu is skilled in traditional Chinese medicine but still single at 30 due to his poor family. One day he rescues an injured smart donkey, which turns out to be his "living navigation system", always leading him straight to villagers needing medical treatment. During a house call, the donkey accidentally leads him to Su Xiao, the eloped young lady from a prestigious medical clinic. Chen decides to use the donkey to court Su Xiao, but triggers one silly misunderstanding after another, and gradually discovers the seemingly ordinary donkey hides an unknown mysterious identity.
