Unemployed young man Chen Mo, eating instant noodles in his shabby rental room, picked up a worn deck of poker cards at a flea market and tucked a yellow-edged Joker card into his pocket. That very night, he got a mysterious call claiming the card could fulfill any wish. Miracles quickly followed: his three-month overdue rent was settled anonymously, and his abusive ex-boss suddenly fell from power. But every stroke of luck came with eerie side effects. He started having recurring nightmares of a creepy smiling face, and those close to him fell into bizarre misfortune one after another. Only when he dug out another identical Joker card from his drawer did he realize the terms of this deal were never his to decide.
