Modern office worker Lin Xiaoman was unpacking parcels late at night when she suddenly traveled back to a poor mountain village in the 1970s, accidentally binding a "time-space trading system" that connects the two eras—exchanging modern trinkets for scarce 1970s supplies. She planned to earn her "first pot of gold" with the system, but right after swapping chocolate for eggs, she was chased three field ridges by Su Xiaotang, the village's upright beauty, who accused her of "speculation"! Worse, the system demands she "improve the village's life through trading" to return home. Forced to team up with Su Xiaotang, Lin trades flashlights for food stamps, lip balms for cloth tickets, deals with villagers' "enthusiastic questions," and hides modern snacks to coax Su into covering for her. As they go from "bickering foes" to "tacit partners," Lin panics when Su shyly hands her a hand-sewn bag—she's long forgotten about "going home," and all she cares about is whether Su will like the fruit candies she's been hiding!
