Lin Xiaoman, an internet worker, collapses from workplace PUA and flees to her late grandma's old rural house to “slack off”, only to be targeted by Gu Chuan, her “grumpy neighbor”—accused of “stealing” his water spinach, given the cold shoulder for using his threshing ground to dry quilts, even her stray cat competes with him for dried fish.
