On a stormy night, journalist Lin Mo breaks into a century-old manor shrouded in sea mist to investigate the disappearance of his fiancée, Miss Su. The housekeeper greets him with eerie smiles while the maid avoids his gaze. A broken phonograph plays the dead's lullaby nightly. When Lin Mo opens the cellar's iron door, a yellowed diary contains wedding photos of him and Miss Su – photos that never existed in reality. Outside, a ferry's horn echoes as new fog rolls in, swallowing all escape routes from the manor filled with whispers and secrets.
