Lin Wu, a cool female forensic doctor, handles a bizarre locked-room murder case and finds that the burn mark on the victim's chest matches the special scald pattern left by Shen Ran, her long-lost first love. Behind the foggy case lie internal power games within the police force and a decade-long love-hate entanglement. She resists pressure to track clues, but every time she touches the truth, she is dragged deeper into a trap by her passionate past. The tug-of-war between family and love leaves her in a dilemma on the boundary of fog and fire.
