Lin Xiaoman, a deaf公益 blogger who advocates for the hearing-impaired community through words, suddenly receives the news of her sister Xiaotang's "accidental fall" death. She uncovers the truth in Xiaotang's sign language diary: Xiaotang was threatened by school bully Chen Mo—"Dare to speak up and I'll ruin your sister's charity project"—after she exposed his bullying. Chen Mo's father is exactly the entrepreneur sponsoring Xiaoman's project; if exposed, the rehabilitation classes for hundreds of hearing-impaired children will stop. Holding Xiaotang's last sign language video, a "silent roar" of despair, Xiaoman struggles between "protecting the charity" and "seeking justice for her sister".
