Wu Siyu gave up her investment bank offer to run "Wu's Corner Store" in the old alley, fulfilling her grandma's last wish. One late night, a man in a vintage shirt knocks on the shutter, asking for "1998 orange soda"—the "time code" her grandma used to mention. He pulls out a yellowed IOU: "Owe Xiao Wu a soda, owe her an answer." As more "nostalgic customers" come, Siyu discovers the store hides secrets of her grandma and the alley: every old item is tied to an unspoken regret, and her job is to help grandma close those "unfinished chapters." But when she reads grandma's diary, she realizes the one who needs healing most is herself—the "coward" who's been afraid to face goodbye since her dad's early death.
