Modern man Lin Mo accidentally travels to war-torn ancient China, with an infinite supply of modern steamed buns by his side. Wanting only to live a quiet life, he gets dragged into chaos. He saves a top warrior and an injured female general on the verge of death among refugees, winning their loyalty instantly with steamed buns. Using his basic knowledge of modern tech, he improves farm tools to boost grain yield and builds simple defensive/offensive devices. As he builds his power, he faces threats from other warlords and must mediate between the warrior and the general. Eventually, he rises from a nobody to a dominant warlord in the troubled times.
