Ye Xiaoman moves into her grandmother's old alley house to take care of her sick grandma, only to run into the grumpy programmer Lu Chuan—their grandmothers were best friends who left the house to each other's grandchildren equally on their deathbeds. Under the same roof, Lu Chuan keeps saying, “I won’t tolerate you here,” but secretly fixes her grandma’s old recliner and wards off debt collectors for her; Ye Xiaoman retaliates with sharp words, yet leaves a light on and cooks hot porridge for him when he works overtime. It’s not until Lu Chuan’s ex-girlfriend shows up that Ye Xiaoman realizes: the man who “won’t have her” has long put her in his heart, and those “eviction orders” are just his unhidden care.
