Fresh off back-to-back 996 shifts, Lin Xia squeezes onto a green-painted train heading home for May Day, only to get tangled in a fraud gang’s plot and mistaken for an accomplice. Determined to reach home in time for her mom’s birthday, she decides to “play along”, maneuvering between two scammers in the noisy carriage, testing them with anti-fraud knowledge she just learned and secretly contacting the police. As the train nears the station, she gets key evidence, only to find the truth far more complicated — the gang members are actually victims forced to commit crimes, turning her homebound trip into a thrilling and touching redemption.
