Xia Chi, a down-and-out office worker just dumped by his girlfriend, accidentally binds to the "Breakup Redemption System"—he must run an agency to help people end relationships gracefully and heal their heartache to unlock rewards. But his first client stumps him: Lin Xiaoman, a cute assistant, wants to break up with her CEO boyfriend Lu Mingyuan, citing "He's too perfect; I don't deserve him." Xia Chi tries to follow the system's steps, but things get messier: the breakup letter he writes for Xiaoman is mistaken by Lu as a "rival's declaration of war"; he accompanies Xiaoman to get drunk but passes out first, with the system taking unflattering photos to blackmail him; even more absurdly, Lu says, "I've been waiting for her to say 'let's get back together'." With the system's ticking countdown and the client's true feelings hidden behind "breakup", Xia Chi not only has to fix others' relationships but also confront his own crush on Xiaoman—Is this lousy system making him help people break up, or helping himself find love?
