Laowang, a laid-off worker struggling with poverty and family complaints, stumbles upon a set of priceless stamps while rummaging through his grandfather’s old belongings. Neighbors wait to see him buy a luxury house, but he rushes to the nearly bankrupt state-owned factory with the stamps—for the stamp designs are inspired by his father’s drafts left at the factory. He partners with cultural and creative platforms using the stamps, transforming the old factory into a non-genetic cultural and creative benchmark, solving all laid-off workers’ livelihood problems and making himself a leader who leads everyone to stand up. A complete underdog story unfolds.
