Lin Xiaoman, an intern at the planetarium, is determined to find an "unnamed star" in the summer star chart to fulfill her grandmother's last wish. Every night, she camps on the rooftop to photograph the stars, only to be repeatedly "robbed of her spot" by Gu Ye, a mysterious photographer—his lens never captures clear stars, only a blurry light spot. Until Xiaoman discovers that Gu Ye's camera hides the old belongings of her brother, who went missing three years ago while saving her, and that blurry spot is actually a "starry message" left by her brother using a satellite transmitter. As they draw closer with their respective obsessions, they are shocked to find that the unnamed star has long woven their fates into the summer constellations.
