Honest pig farmer Wang Shun was publicly called "heartless" by fellow villager Zhang Liuliu after refusing to let Zhang underpay for his pigs. That night, a mysterious disease killed all 100 of Zhang's pigs, wiping out his life savings. Furious, Zhang led a mob to ransack Wang's feed shop, finding half a bag of banned additives and accusing Wang of revenge. But Wang was shocked: he had destroyed all the problematic feed long ago. When another nearby farmer's pigs fell ill soon after, the slander-fueled feud turned out to be a carefully laid trap.
