After suffering both job loss and a breakup, 28-year-old Xia Zhixia moves back to the old alley courtyard left by her grandma. She finds the yard is filled with lush summer flowers tended by Xiangyang, a quiet florist next door. Starting off with awkward frictions over space issues, the two gradually let their guards down and heal each other: Xiangyang helps her rediscover her passion for life, while Zhixia helps him let go of the regret of abandoning a top floral competition years ago. When the sunflowers in the courtyard bloom fully under the summer sun, they finally realize their hidden feelings for each other.
