Lin Xiaoman receives an anonymous letter saying, "Zhou Zhou is waiting for you," reminding her of her childhood friend who suddenly disappeared three years ago—the boy who used to chase stars with her. Following the clues to an old attic, she finds the paper stars they folded together and a notebook filled with astronomical formulas. The last page reads in a shaky hand: "Xiaoman, I touched the star we've been looking for, but it won't let me leave." Just then, a photo blows in from the window—she and Zhou Zhou stand on an observatory roof, with star trails forming the "Lost Star Map" she's been researching recently—but she has no memory of taking this photo. What's more terrifying? The formulas in the notebook are exactly the same as the experiment derivation she wrote this morning...
