Lin Chuan, the "living recipe" of a hermit chef clan, hides his godlike cooking skill—capable of making ingredients "speak"—and descends the mountain to become the "nominal husband" of CEO Su Wan to fulfill his grandfather's last wish. Su Wan disdains this man who "only knows how to cook instant noodles": she sleeps in a separate room and even assigns him to be a "plate carrier" at the company's top cooking competition. But when the Michelin chef in the final suddenly gets food poisoning, Lin Chuan is forced to substitute. His "Two Dragons Playing with a Pearl" carved from carrots leaves the judges standing and applauding, and a bowl of "Tomato and Egg Noodles" reminds Su Wan of her late mother's cooking. It's not until the competition committee presents the "Chef God Medal" that Su Wan realizes: the "soft rice man" she's despised for half a year is the "Imperial Chef Inheritor" the gourmet world has been searching for a decade!
