Lin Shen, the "Smiling Detective" known for his cynical grin at the police station, takes on a missing case of an elderly loner. The clues lead him to Su Xiao, a流浪 girl he saved ten years ago—now the director of a welfare home. The blood-stained pendant at the crime scene is exactly the "safety charm" Lin once gave her.
