Lin Xiaoman has been married to Chen Mo for just three months when strange incidents strike the village—wells dry up without reason, children suffer sudden fevers—and the villagers all accuse her of being a 'snake lady' causing chaos. Chen Mo, once deeply devoted to her, succumbs to rumors and a Taoist priest’s 'testimony,' gradually believing she’s a monster. He even teams up with others to set an exorcism trap. Just as the peach wood sword is about to pierce Xiaoman’s chest, Chen Mo spots a jade pendant on the priest—it belongs to Xiaoman’s ex-boyfriend Zhou Ming! It turns out Zhou Ming, angry over Xiaoman’s rejection, staged all the 'snake incidents' to get revenge. Now, with Chen Mo’s guilt and Zhou Ming’s madness closing in, can Xiaoman use the truth to win back the trust she’s lost?
