Lin Xiaoman, a corporate slave, gets fired on New Year's Day. She returns home late with instant noodles, only to be startled by loud knocks—outside stands a little boy in a red bellyband, holding a golden ingot and yelling, "The Lucky Boy is here to repay your past-life debt!" Before she can react, she's bound to the "New Year Fortune System": complete absurd tasks like "helping a square dance team win a community competition" or "making New Year outfits for stray cats" to unlock wealth! But instead of making money, she gets into all sorts of funny trouble, even dragging her cold neighbor Lu Shiyan into a "speaker war". As tasks progress, Lin finds the little boy always avoids Lu, and Lu's gaze towards her shifts from disdain to undeniable tenderness—could this "fortune delivery" actually be a premeditated "love delivery"?
