They clashed from the first meeting: Aqiang led neighbors to block the demolition team, while Ye Cheng used blueprints to argue about “future benefits.” But when Ye Cheng found his grandma’s old silver bracelet in the attic and recalled the warmth of eating wonton noodles with her as a child; Aqiang also discovered that Ye Cheng’s design secretly preserved the old opera stage and sugar water shop—turns out, what both want is a “new world where memories don’t disappear.” When the final demolition order comes, the former rivals stand together as “two heroes protecting the walled city,” determined to build a “new future with old memories.”
