Lin Xiaoman runs "Xu Chun Zhai", an old item repair shop left by her grandma, believing every vintage piece holds an uncooled spring. Until a cold-faced man, Cheng Yan, slams a broken pottery bowl——evidence of her grandma's "indifference" years ago: Cheng's father died because grandma delayed delivering medicine, and Cheng comes to seek justice. But while repairing the bowl, Xiaoman finds the word "Ping An" (safety) secretly carved by Cheng's father. It turns out grandma missed her husband's medicine delivery because she was saving Cheng's father from a beating. Cheng's father felt guilty for life and entrusted the bowl to his son to apologize. When the cracks are mended with kintsugi, the two regret-burdened souls realize: Renewing spring isn't about retrieving the past, but letting the warmth in old things sprout again.
