Lin Xiaoman, who inherits her family's traditional firework craft, runs a struggling fireworks shop in a small town after her father's sudden passing. She faces shrinking orders and doubts from elders about her ability to keep the business afloat. Until Shen Xing, a commercial photographer burnt out from the urban rat race, arrives in the town to shoot a healing firework-themed photo series. They meet by chance when a stray firework goes off. Xiaoman teaches Shen Xing the craftsmanship and warmth of traditional fireworks, while Shen Xing helps her expand sales channels. As they tweak firework formulas and prepare for the town's fireworks festival, both heal their inner struggles and confess their feelings under the Mid-Autumn Festival fireworks, breathing new life into the old shop.
