Lin Wan, an ancient book restorer, accidentally acquires a Song Dynasty inkstone engraved with "Blossoms of Several Lifetimes". While restoring it, she repeatedly dreams of Gu Zhao, a man in moon-white robes—In a past life, he was the study scholar who ground ink exclusively for her. To clear her false accusation of collaborating with the enemy, he sealed evidence in the inkstone, only to be framed and killed; she then jumped into a book-burning pit holding the inkstone to die with him. In this life, when she meets Gu Zhao, an antique appraiser who looks exactly like the man in her dreams, pale blue flowers actually bloom on the inkstone. Each bloom revives a fragment of their past-life memories. But when the third flower is about to bloom, Gu Zhao suddenly starts coughing up blood—the "debt-repayment curse" from their past life has caught up. They must evade cultural relic traffickers coveting the inkstone and break the thousand-year curse before the flowers fully bloom to redeem their regret spanning multiple lifetimes.
