Lin Xiaoman, the "wild girl" at the fish stall in the wet market, supports her critically ill mother by carrying goods and selling fish. Her life is like wild grass trampled in mud, yet she stubbornly fights to grow green. Lu Shiyan, the "perfect tool man" in investment banking, has his life mapped out by his family—until a car accident forces him to hide in Xiaoman's shabby rental. She teaches him to eat braised stew at the alley entrance; he helps her raise money for her mother's surgery. Two people "pruned" by life find the courage to "grow wildly" in each other. But when Lu's family elders wield the knife of "social status matching" and Xiaoman's mother's medical record gets soaked in rain, can this "wild grass love" survive the cold winter of reality?
