Shen Jiao, a top architectural designer, returns to her hometown to film a documentary about an intangible cultural heritage ancient town, only to be caught in a forest fire. She’s carried to safety by Gu Ye, a rough firefighter—who is exactly the “wild boy” she insulted as a child. Now Gu Ye, the “wild fire” guarding the mountains, insists on “clinging” to her: supervising her evacuation, helping her retrieve her burned filming equipment, and showing her the new sprouts after the fire. When Shen Jiao finds the remains of her childhood kite, she realizes Gu Ye dirtied her new dress just to help her get it back. And Gu Ye’s “entanglement”? It’s a decade-old love, burning as fiercely and restrainedly as wildfire. Reunited in the ashes, their prejudices and misunderstandings fade, leaving only the most genuine heartbeat—turns out the hottest fire has always been the deep affection hidden in time.
