Su Wan, a cultural relic restorer, travels to an East China Sea island to restore the "Foggy Boat Painting" from a late Ming Dynasty sunken ship. However, she mistakenly boards a maritime archaeology team's boat in heavy fog—at the helm is Gu Zhao, her ex-boyfriend who left without a word seven years ago over a "betrayal" misunderstanding. Now the team's captain, Gu Zhao has the unfinished "Foggy Boat Painting" (the cause of their past argument) locked in the cabin, along with a secret: he left to search for maritime clues about Su Wan's missing father, and the sunken ship's painting is linked to her father's disappearance.
