Delivery guy Lin Xiaoyuan harbors a secret football dream—ten years ago, he injured his knee saving a teammate, and since then, he’s only kicked empty bottles in the alley. When the city’s amateur league launches a "Civilian Football King" trial, he signs up secretly but faces his boss’s threat of losing the entire month’s salary. His mother also weeps, "You’re no longer a kid who can fight." Just as he’s about to give up, his former teammate arrives with a custom knee brace: "Let’s get back the championship we owed you."
