She catches the eye of Su Muyan, a cold and elegant courtesan who always plays *Qing Ping Diao* on the pipa—actually, he is the third prince, framed and exiled to investigate royal secrets. They make tea and discuss paintings in misty alleys, and protect each other amid power struggles.
