Su Wan, an ancient book restorer, stumbles upon a mostly burnt old book titled *Record of Burnt Joys*. Between its pages lies a half-burnt love letter, whose handwriting is identical to Lin Shen—her first love who vanished seven years ago. As she restores each page, the campus memories devoured by fire resurface: Lin Shen once promised to write a “book only for us,” but he disappeared without a trace the day before graduation. Following the book’s clues, Su Wan finds “Chen Mo,” the owner of an old bookstore, only to discover he is Lin Shen under a new name. It turns out Lin Shen had a serious illness back then and hid to avoid burdening Su Wan, while *Record of Burnt Joys* was his unfinished gift, destroyed in an accident. Now, Su Wan holds the half-restored book, staring at the familiar yet unfamiliar man, and asks softly: “How long will you hide the ending you owe me?” Can the broken pages piece together the seven years they lost?
