When retired town postman Old Chen sorts through old items in his old house, he unexpectedly finds a stack of dusty unsent letters—most recipients have passed away. Only one letter without a recipient address stands out: it's a love letter written by Lin Man 20 years ago, intended for her childhood sweetheart A Ming who transferred schools due to a misunderstanding. With faint clues in the letter, Old Chen travels to the home of lonely Grandma Chen in town, only to find an apology letter hidden under her pillow for 20 years. It turns out that the two had a cold war due to a misunderstanding back then, both waiting for the other to give in, and finally missed each other. Old Chen decides to help this pair of regretful old friends send their late letter and clear up the knot in their hearts accumulated for years.
