Lin Xiaoman, a people-pleasing office worker, is cheated out of her savings by her ex, has her promotion stolen by her best friend, and is evicted by her landlord. Desperate, she binds to the "Retaliate with Kindness" system—she must show "goodwill" to those who hurt her, or she'll be struck by lightning! Forced to comply, she tells her scam ex, "I wish you success in your business," only for him to fall victim to fraud immediately. She gives her backstabbing friend a "career lucky charm," which lands her friend the worst client ever. Even her landlord gets a "renting blessing," leading to the house being investigated for violations. The system also unlocks her cultivation abilities, letting her see others' "bad luck value." Then, icy CEO Gu Chengyan shows up, accusing her of ruining his revenge plan—turns out Gu was also hurt by these people and wanted to take revenge himself, but Lin's "kindness" stole his thunder! From enemies to partners, they team up to "do good" and take down villains in hilarious ways, while uncovering the system's cultivation secrets and sparking sweet chemistry amid their bickering.
