Chu Zhao, the Prince of Zhenbei, was framed for treason and lost his entire family. He faked his death, took on the identity of a poor scholar named Shen Zhao, and swore to avenge his family and clear his name. Meanwhile, Su Wan, the legitimate daughter of the Prime Minister, was used as a pawn by her father to gain power—she was forced to marry an elderly eunuch. Desperate, the two struck a deal: he would help her escape the marriage, and she would assist him in infiltrating the Prime Minister's mansion to investigate. Pretending to be a couple, they gradually developed feelings for each other. However, they soon discovered that the mastermind behind Chu Zhao's frame-up was connected to the imperial power, even involving Su Wan's mysterious background. When the blade of revenge is aimed at their loved one, and the fog of truth shrouds the court, can this "contract couple" break free from fate and together reclaim the kingdom and clear their names?
