Su Wan travels to Mist Town—perpetually enveloped in dense mist—to find her missing sister, but the villagers refuse to talk about her sister’s whereabouts. She checks into a guesthouse run by Gu Shen, a cold man who always appears when she’s in danger. As she digs deeper, Su Wan discovers her sister’s disappearance is tied to the legend of the “Mist Spirit” that takes a “fated person” every 15th lunar day. Gu Shen, it turns out, is the century-old “Mist Spirit Envoy” guarding the town, searching for someone to break the curse. When Su Wan realizes she’s the next “fated person,” Gu Shen must choose between protecting the town or saving the woman he loves, unraveling a mist-shrouded mystery and a fate-bound entanglement.
