After a broken relationship and a string of career setbacks, freelance illustrator Su Wan leaves the chaotic Beijing and returns to her late grandmother’s old house in a tranquil Jiangnan town for temporary healing. She meets Chen Yu, the quiet owner of a local osmanthus cake shop, who has guarded the family shop for a decade, waiting for his childhood sweetheart who went overseas and lost contact years ago.
