Su Wan, a socially anxious picture book author, is forced to rush to the newly opened vet clinic downstairs when her beloved cat falls critically ill. There she meets Lin Shiyan, a sunny-smiling guy who hides a secret—he’s a die-hard fan of her anonymous book *The Star Cat*, able to read the loneliness hidden in her drawings, and even secretly fixed her manuscript rejected by publishers. When Su Wan shuts her heart again due to past trauma, Lin Shiyan shows up with her cat, a wall of sticky notes saying “I’ll wait” behind him: “Your Star Cat needs a caregiver, and I want to be your ‘heartbeat caregiver’ for life.”
