Lin Wan, a museum restorer, broke up with firefighter Gu Zhao ten years ago due to a misunderstanding and has since closed her heart to focus on restoring ancient paintings. Until a cultural relic rescue mission, she reunites with Gu Zhao—now the fire brigade captain—the man she thought had died in a fire. It turns out Gu Zhao fell into a coma while saving a comrade; upon waking, he learned Lin Wan believed he was dead and hid his survival for fear of being a burden. Now, their reunion revives the life-and-death promise from the fire, the unsaid "I’ll wait for you," and the youthful secrets in the "Painting of Remaining Life" Lin Wan is restoring—all becoming their bond spanning a decade. When faced with another fire dilemma, can Gu Zhao reveal the truth? Can Lin Wan let go of regret and dare to "bet" on the rest of her life again?
