Lin Xiaoman is a night-shift clerk at a 24-hour convenience store. Every night at 10 o'clock, Chen Mo, a mysterious man in a black windbreaker, arrives—he always buys the same box of mints and never speaks more than a word. A rainstorm traps him in the store, breaking the silence: Xiaoman admits she chose the night shift because she’s afraid of the dark after a breakup, while Chen Mo reveals he’s plagued by severe insomnia and can only wander at night. Their “half-hour nightly chats” soon become an addiction. But when Xiaoman finds antidepressants in Chen Mo’s windbreaker and uncovers the devastating past he’s running from, she realizes: what she’s addicted to isn’t just the warmth of the night—it’s whether the man behind the mask can truly let his guard down.
