Rural guy Chen Aniu takes a high-paying job transporting a Ming-dynasty Buddha head to raise money for his mother’s surgery, with the employer strictly forbidding him from opening the crate. But when his truck blows a tire in the mountains at night, he’s forced to check inside—only to find the Buddha head has tear stains at the corners of its eyes, and its face looks exactly like his sister who went missing ten years ago! Moments later, the employer arrives with tattooed men, yelling, “There’s deadly evidence in the Buddha head!” Aniu realizes: he’s not transporting a Buddha, but the truth about his sister’s abduction—she was taken by human traffickers for protecting the village’s old Buddha! Now he must escape with the Buddha head, racing to save his dying mother and get justice for his sister after a decade of waiting.
