Geologist Gu Feng and photographer Lin Wu pledged their love atop mist-shrouded peaks, until a landslide plunged Gu Feng into the enigmatic cloud sea abyss. Three years later, when all presumed him dead, Lin Wu receives his final SOS on the cliff's edge – an automatic photo message from his lost phone. Selling everything to fund a rescue mission, she's mocked as a madwoman by villagers. Deep in the swirling clouds, Lin Wu discovers distorted magnetic fields warping time flow, and fresh bloodstains scrawled on crumbling rocks: 'Don't trust who I was three years ago'. Suddenly, a crimson flare tears through the mist – its trajectory mirroring the sunset glow of their first kiss.
