Modern corporate slave Su Xiaotang transmigrated into Luo Qingyan, the “childless Buddhist disciple” of Yunmiao Temple, while staying up late to finish a proposal—born with a destroyed spiritual root, accused of killing his master, even the kitchen refused him an extra bowl of porridge. As he squatted at the gate chewing cold buns, he suddenly bound to the “Buddhist Disciple Counterattack System” with a mission to collect 1000 sincere wishes to unlock his ancient Buddha identity. The system assigned ridiculous tasks: helping a flower grandma got him a peony, finding a hunter’s falcon made it his follower. He also saved Bai Li, a demon fox lord being chased—she wanted to use him but was touched by his clumsiness: when she was injured, he held a low-quality talisman shaking so hard he almost burned it; when she wanted osmanthus cake, he rummaged through merit boxes to buy one, eating a dry bun saying “I’m not hungry.” But when wishes were almost full, the villain appeared—the “childless” rumor was his plot to destroy Luo’s Buddhist vein and steal Yunmiao’s spiritual root! Between the system’s tricky tasks and Bai Li’s secret affection, how will the useless disciple counterattack and win the fox fairy’s heart?
