Yun Qi, a small-town library keeper, guards her grandmother’s legacy—the "Star River Bookstore"—firmly believing it’s where the brightest star river shines. Gu Xinghe, an astrophotographer, arrives to fulfill his late mother’s wish: capturing the last star trails over Star River Valley, only to find his perfect shot blocked by the bookstore. From clashes to confessions, they uncover Yun Qi’s persistence stems from her grandma’s starlit memories, while Gu Xinghe’s obsession hides his mother’s unspoken regret. When developers’ bulldozers loom, a secret emerges: his mother and her grandma were star-gazing friends, and the bookstore’s ceiling holds a 20-year-old star river mural painted by her grandma… In this battle to save the stars, will they cling to the past, or find new light?
