Geologist Lin Chen's wife vanished five years ago in the Cloudpeak Mountains. When an earthquake fractures the valley, satellites detect a flickering light deep in the misty abyss. Lin leads a rescue team into the treacherous terrain, only to uncover his wife's elaborate deception: she faked her death to monopolize a priceless mineral deposit.
