Lin Mo, a college student, spent two million of his savings and start-up funds building a village dam for the rural revitalization initiative, only to be blackmailed by his relatives who accused him of harming their interests. When a once-in-a-century flood hit suddenly, those evil relatives were trapped on the roof. Villagers refused to rescue them due to long-standing grudges. The desperate relatives tried to pry open the gate to escape at midnight, but Lin Mo was prepared. He pulled the gate down, trapping the evildoers entirely. Lin Mo not only saved the whole village but also got his revenge, leading to a highly satisfying ending.
