When cultural relic restorer Su Wan repairs an ancient jade inscribed with "Budu Lide," she frequently dreams of being A Du, the landlady of "Budu Inn" in Jiangnan, who fell in love with Shen Lide, a young general seeking refuge. They were separated by war, and Shen Lide promised "to meet again at Budu in the next life" before his supposed death. When she meets Lin Shen, an archaeologist who looks exactly like Shen Lide, they can "see" past-life fragments together—revealing Shen Lide didn’t die; he went into hiding to find A Du but failed. Now reunited, the jade’s curse emerges: to continue their bond, they must decipher "Budu Lide"—"Budu" means "never crossing separation," "Lide" means "breaking free from fate," and their true love is the key. But mysterious figures target the jade, determined to destroy this millennium-old reunion……
