Rebellious surfing prodigy Zhou Ye loses his championship eligibility after an accident and is exiled to coach at a failing seaside club. There he meets Lin Xia, a girl terrified of the ocean yet determined to save her grandfather's surf shack, and a group of mocked 'loser' students. When developers threaten to destroy their bay, Zhou must lead these misfits in an insane plan - creating artificial monster waves during a typhoon for an impossible exhibition match to save their home.
