Lin Wan, an ancient book restorer, guards her grandfather's "Guixu Old Bookstore". One day, Gu Zhao arrives with a damaged Song Dynasty manuscript, saying he wants to fulfill his grandfather's last wish of restoring old items. While gluing pages, Gu Zhao would quietly warm her frozen hands, and Lin Wan would polish his glasses until they shone; they found their grandparents' old diaries and learned that Gu's grandfather once had an unfulfilled crush on Lin's grandmother. But when the last page was fixed, Gu Zhao took out his grandfather's will—he came only to return an unposted love letter, not because he liked her. Touching the little daisy she drew on the page edge, Lin Wan suddenly realized: their bond originated from the previous generation's regret, yet it was so fragile that it couldn't even be called "love"—those gentle moments were just two nostalgic souls, using someone else's story to warm their own loneliness.
