In the early years of the Republic of China, cavalry commander Gu Zhao and his war horse "Chiyan" repeatedly achieved military merits. However, he was framed for collaborating with the enemy by his deputy—Gu died wrongfully, and "Chiyan" was executed as a "traitorous horse". Eighteen years later, Gu's daughter Xiaotang returns home with her father's old military tag. She discovers a surviving witness and an enemy military emblem buried beside "Chiyan's" remains, exposing the deputy's plot to seize power. Determined to clear their names, Xiaotang faces the deputy, now a local warlord. A struggle between justice and revenge unfolds as she fights through pursuit and lies to restore her father and "Chiyan's" innocence.
