Forensic scientist Su Wan uses her "bone-profiling" skill to uncover victims' truths, while criminal police Lu Jingchuan relies on his "crime-chasing" courage to protect the city. These childhood sweethearts still work together on cases even after marriage, but a bone-shattering unsolved case throws them into crisis: the clue Su Wan dug from the bone crevices points to an old friend Lu Jingchuan once risked his life to protect; when Lu Jingchuan tracks the killer, an anonymous text pops up: "Keep investigating, and she'll be the next victim." When the blade of justice nears a loved one, and danger's shadow looms over their beloved, they piece together clues amid the formalin smell of the autopsy room and crash into each other's arms in the rain-soaked alley chasing the killer—turns out the most touching "detective daily" is me dissecting the truth for you, you shielding the darkness for me, and the never-cooling fiery heartbeat hidden behind the evidence.
